Halloween’s done, time to get ready for Christmas

There is no better way to take advantage of that Halloween sugar high than to get ready for the Holiday Season.

In Monroe, the holiday season officially kicks off this week.

First, we have Light up the Night on Thursday evening in downtown Monroe. This is followed by the Mini-Evergreen Festival at the McDaniel-Tichenor House on Nov. 15 and The Cotton Depot is already preparing for its annual Open House on Nov. 23.

When the November festivities are over, the real Christmas season begins on Dec. 5 with the annual Christmas Parade. This is followed with Candlelight Shopping in downtown Monroe on Dec. 6.

Do you have an Open House or Christmas event planned? Let us know so we can put it on our calendar.
