Walton EMC Employees Raise $30,000 for Breast Cancer Awareness

Through yearlong activities, Walton EMC employees recently donated $30,000 to the Atlanta 2-Day Breast Cancer Walk. All funds raised through this organization stay in Georgia to support local breast cancer patients and programs. Activities culminated with the third annual company-wide Pink Out, a competition among departments to raise awareness for the cause.

Some of the beneficiaries of the Atlanta 2-Day funds serve the Walton County area: These include Athens Nurses Clinic, Athens Regional’s Loran Smith Center for Cancer Support, East Georgia Cancer Coalition, Gwinnett Medical Center, Lighthouse Lymphoma Network and Piedmont Hospital to name a few.
