A 25-year-old Monroe woman is facing burglary charges after residents at Bright Inn in Loganville reported items were removed from their room.

According to a Loganville Police Department incident report, Lauren Ashley Waldrip, 25, of 2955 Tommy Dillard Road, Monroe, was arrested on June 11, 2014 after it was reported that she had a master key to rooms at Bright Inn in her possession as well bags and other items that had been reported missing. The value of the missing items from one of the rooms  was reported to be about $60. A second resident complained of missing items, including his EBT card and wallet containing his driver’s license. The suspect reportedly ran when Loganville police officers arrived, but was arrested. She was also charged with interference with government property when officers reported that she kicked the window of the police vehicle as well as the door of the holding cell, causing damage to it.

The suspect also is reported to be in violation of probation and is being held without bond at the Walton County Detention Center. Loganville detectives are following up on how she came to be in possession of a master key to the motel rooms.
