MPD to participate in Prescription Drug Take Back Saturday

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, Monroe Police Department will be accepting unwanted and outdated prescription drugs under the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day program.

MPD will have a tent set up in the back parking lot on Wayne Street Saturday for people just to drive in and drop off their OLD prescriptions.

According to the DEA website, the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
