Monroe’s 2015 Christmas Parade to honor Hometown Heroes

The theme for the 2015 Christmas Parade in Monroe is Hometown Heroes and participants are invited to join in the fun and help celebrate all our local heroes. These could be military personnel, police, fire and EMS, teachers or even local athletes.

The 62nd Annual Christmas Parade is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 3 in downtown Monroe. You’re invited to get into the spirit of the season as the parade makes it’s way down tree lit streets to the sounds of bands playing Christmas Carols. This year, there is a little more street to line and wait for the parade. Officials say the parade will begin further down S. Broad Street close to Walton Mill to take advantage of the new sidewalks and streetscapes completed this year.

If you are interested in being in the parade, you can download an application HERE.  Space is limited to the first 75 applications.
