Loganville’s Candyland Christmas Tree Lighting

Downtown Loganville became Candyland Friday as it welcomed Santa and his entourage of elves and other helpers to light up the Christmas Tree for the 2015 Holiday Season. To the delight of excited children, Santa arrived in a horse drawn carriage. Santa then joined Loganville Mayor Dan Curry to light up the Christmas Tree. To the final strains of Happy Birthday to Jesus, the light was flipped and the Christmas Season began in Loganville.

Children waited in line for that all important photograph on Santa’s knee as others had Christmas cheer painted on their faces, in their hair, or found an elf or the Grinch with whom to have their photo taken. Rides were given in the horse and carriage and, with the sounds of favorite Christmas Carols filling the air, there was snow to play in and hot chocolate to complete the feel of the season. Christmas has officially come to Loganville – let the fun begin.

If you missed it, be sure not to miss the Loganville Christmas parade scheduled take place on Saturday.
