Monroe PD Reports: Suspect drops stolen vehicle at store in Monroe

Monroe Police Department responded to the following calls between April 22 – 28, 2016. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the second part for this period. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious Vehicle called on East Church St., Jack Peters. Caller advised a named subject got out of the vehicle 15 mins prior and left walking on foot. The vehicle was checked and returned stolen. Towed and secured by Wrecker Service.
  • Domestic Dispute call on Mobley Circle, complainant advised her boyfriend’s sister, damaged her property.
  • Missing Person call on Chestnut Lane. Juvenile didn’t return home from Fair, but was on scene prior to officer arrival. Juvenile very unruly and possibly on 38D (drugs). Juvenile complaint filed.
  • Domestic Dispute on Davis St., Incident occurred on Tanglewood Dr., Donovan Peters and female subject involved in physical altercation. Peters arrested for Battery-Family Violence and Criminal Trespass.
  • Dispute call on Old Mill Run, verbal dispute between mother and male subjects, male subject Gone On Arrival. Mother advised arguing over visitation of one of her children and baby daddy. All ok.
  • EMS Assist on Mobley Circle, 2-month old baby not breathing, parents and baby transported to Clearview Medical. ER staff able to revive infant. Other factors involved. CID called to respond to ER. For further investigation due to story given and then changed by parents and other conditions of the baby discovered while being examined. Infant to be life flight to Egleston Hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
  • 911 hang up call on Wheelhouse Lane, domestic problem related between three subjects. Situation was mediated parties separated. Report to be filed for documentation purposes.
  • Juvenile complaint on Victory Dr., met with complainant at Rivers of Mercy Church. Complainant advised a 16-year-old juvenile pulled out in front of her on her bike while driving. Verbal dispute. Situation resolved.
  • Officer’s called to Walton County Sheriff’s Office Lobby – Harassment, the complainant advised male subject was posting unwanted comments on Facebook and nude pictures of her on a pornographic website.
  • Domestic problem call on Windsor Dr., complainant and William Bird. Bird was GOA and then returned. Bird was arrested at the scene. Warrants To Be Taken  by officer for Battery Family violence, and false imprisonment.
  • Accident on Sorrells & North Broad, 3-vehicles no injuries. Ashleigh Peary arrested for warrants, Failure To Appear out of MPD.
  • Dispute call on Magnolia St., dispute between two juveniles. Situation resolved.
  • Suspicious vehicle call on Ridge Road & Hwy. 11, complainant followed vehicle till it turned off Hwy. 11 in a driveway. Contact made with the driver. Checked ok, advised she had to use the restroom (emergency) actually did not make it and urinated in her seat. No signs of impairment. Sent on her way and warned about manor of driving and concerns of other drivers
  • Welfare check on Landers St., father called and advised his daughter was being abused, 3rd house on right. April Gunnell’s arrested for child cruelty and battery family violence. Kids turned over to the father.
  • Domestic Dispute on West Marable St., mother advised her son destroyed property, valuing over $500.00. Her son fled the scene prior to police arrival. Warrant taken for criminal damage to property 2nd degree.
  • Unknown law problem call on West Tall Oaks Dr., Young juvenile on the line advising she needed help. All ok.
  • Control substance problem call at West Spring Street – Clearview Regional Medical Center. Female patient was cited and released for possession of marijuana due to being struck by vehicle in the county. Hospital staff retrieved the marijuana from bra before CT scan.
  • Burglary in progress call on Davis St., complainant advised someone broke back window into residence. Caller called back to cancel, stating it was her daughter. All ok.
  • 911 Hang up call on Reed Court. Complainant and his wife in verbal dispute. Wife was GOA upon arrival. Documentation report only.
  • Dispute call on West Spring St., Huddle House. A white male wearing plaid short was in dispute with employees and customer. Subject left walking towards Plaza Drive.
  • Domestic Dispute on Mill Creek Way, complainant and her boyfriend in verbal dispute. No acts of family violence. Documentation report only.
  • Suspicious person call on Breedlove Dr. and Alcovy St., Steve Crank trespassing and seen near construction site. Has been warned not to return. Steve Crank arrested for trespassing.
  • Dispute call on Meadowbrook Dr., Black male knocking on door. Complainant was familiar with subject and told him to go home because he was too intoxicated. Subject GOA upon arrival. All ok.
  • Dispute call on North Broad St., – Fuzion’s. Jerrod Brison intoxicated and refused to pay $30 liquor tab. Arrested and charged with theft of services
  • Warrant service on North Broad St., – Fuzion’s. Tavaris Latimore attempted to flee on foot, but was caught in the parking lot. Subject had active felony probation, battery – FV, and aggravated stalking warrants for his arrest.
  • Dispute call on West Spring Street – Haven Inn & Suites, Civil dispute over money. Subject paid for a room, used it for twenty minutes and wanted a refund.
  • Dispute call on W. Marable St., complainant advised that Billy Murphy was on location and now at W. Marable St. Murphy had involvement from last date and warrants taken. Warrants out of Walton County for battery as well. Murphy arrested, located on W. Marable Street.
  • Theft report call at Waffle House, Complainant advised cell phone taken on Friday night early Saturday Morning. Video shows phone picked up and handed to male subject who was identified by the victim. Contact made with male subject on Claywill Circle and he stated he gave the phone to Waffle House staff. Report to be completed.
