James (Jim) Malewski, age 67, of Monroe, GA passed away, Saturday July 30, 2016. He passed peacefully into our loving Savior’s arms, surrounded by family.
Jim was born and raised in Chicago IL. He graduated from Marist High School in 1967. Jim married the love of his life and his best friend, on December 21, 1979. Jim honorably served as a Chicago police officer for 29 years. Jim enjoyed life to the fullest, he played tennis, golf, bowling and also enjoyed hunting and fishing. His favorite pastime was spending time with friends and family. Jim’s love of life, compassion and humor endeared him to everyone he met.
Jim leaves behind his loving wife and best friend, Dawn: his four children, Carrie (James) Roser, Jason (Nicole)Lusson, Jamie (Matthew) Dryer and Jody Shanahan. Also left behind ten grandchildren; Jordan (Jordan) Gotreaux, Julie Roser, Josie Roser, Jared Roser, Jacob Turner, Joshua Lusson, Nicholas Lusson, Kain Ulivi, Jackson Dryer and Jolie Dryer. Loving son of Clarence Malewski(deceased) and Loraine Karis (deceased). Siblings, Roberta Walker (deceased) John (Norma) Malewski, Maureen (Robert) Ott, Leo (Debbie) Malewski, Matthew Karis, Patricia (Michael) DeVeito, Janet (Jan) Kennedy, Donna Hutchinson, Lauren (Jose) Rodriguez.
Memorial visitation will be at Tim Stewart Funeral Home 209 Hammond Dr. Monroe, Ga 30655 Tuesday, August 2, from 5-7 pm Funeral services will be held at Community of Grace Lutheran Church, 1200 Athens Hwy Grayson, Ga 30017, Wednesday, August 3, at 11:00
