On Nov. 3, you’re invited to visit downtown Monroe for the annual Light up the Night. There will be music, art on display by the local artists and the city takes on the Holiday feel with lighting up of the Christmas lights. Local shops will be open to assist in displaying the work of local artists and give the community an opportunity to get some early Christmas shopping done. For some ideas on what is available locally, take a look at this Holiday Gift Guide shared on Monroe Local News and Walton Living Magazine.
Additional events this year including the Grand Opening of the Monroe Cultural & Heritage Museum at the old Historic City Hall Building at 227 S. Broad Street. And as a special treat, Funky Bluester will be performing in the pocket park from 5-8 p.m.
