Monroe PD Reports: Probation violator arrested after flagging down police for ride

Juvenile wouldn't return found phone and wallet without reward

Monroe PD responded to the following calls between  Nov. 23 – Dec. 1, 2016. This report is split into five parts due to the length. This is the first post for this period. Please note an arrest and charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Burglary report, E. Church St., No forced entry.  Keys left on counter.  1 TV and 1 pistol missing.  Possible suspect was named.
  • Structure Fire, Towler St., Upon arrival apartment was fully engulfed.  All surrounding apartments cleared.  Neighbors advised they thought they seen a child banging on the window.  Fire Department cleared residence with no one inside.  Fire Department contacted Red Cross.  CID notified per Fire Department.
  • Domestic problem, W. Spring St., Parties were separated prior to officers arrival.  No marks observed.  Parties advised it was verbal only.
  • Damage to property, Birch St., complainant advised someone struck her vehicle this date between 1000 hrs. and 1218 hrs.
  • Follow up, Theft report, 6th St., complainant advised her checks were stolen again.  This time from the Post Office.
  • Threats/domestic problem, W. Vine St., male subject made threats and was given a escort to Clearview.  All ok.
  • Animal Complaint, Pine Cir., Reference to a snake stuck in the drain.  Plumber contacted.  All ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Zaxby’s.  Reference to a truck that had debris coming from the vehicle.  Debris was said to have struck the complainants vehicle.  Turned over to Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Dispute, Mayfield Dr., male subject was terminated.  Made threats to damage trucks and refused to leave.  He was sent on his way.  All ok.
  • Suspicious person, Alcovy St., Reference to a B/M who had a BB gun.  Subject was gone prior to officer’s arrival.  All ok.
  • Lost item report, S. Hammond Dr., complainant advised she lost her Ga. Carry permit within the last month.
  • Theft report, Bridgeport Pl., Reference to blue Huffy Mnt Bike taken this date.  Possibly taken by juveniles named.
  • Burglary report, Attempt, Tanglewood Dr., complainant advised someone tried to pry open his side door.  Requested a report for property manager.
  • Civil Issue, Flowers Baker on S. Broad St.  Officer went with female subject to S. Madison in reference to a dispute over rent money with her father.  Both parties advised of remedies.  All ok.
  • 911 Hang up call, Creek View Dr., dispute among adult sisters.  Complainant unable to speak.  Situation mediated.  All ok.
  • Escort Former Peach State employee requested escort to get final pay check.
  • Theft report, Baker St., complainant got a delivery confirmation email that a box had arrived. Package was not on location when she returned home.
  • Prowler, 4th St., Complainant advised two b/m were lurking in his backyard. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Escort Tyrell Favors from Henry County Jail to Walton County Jail.
  • Domestic problem, Cook Place, complainant advised her sister and her sister’s boyfriend involved in dispute, both parties refused to cooperate and refused entry to residence, no signs of violence.
  • Drug call in the area of Stokes and South Madison Ave. Comp advised male in tan truck tried to sell her son meth. Vehicle gone. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Dispute, West Marable St., complainant wanted male subject to leave, subject gone when officers arrived.
  • Follow up, West Marable St., subject from above back on location, sent on his way.
  • Suspicious person, E. Spring St.  B/M refusing to leave.  10-74 contact.
  • Officer flagged down at City Hall with reference to a subject needing a ride.  Christopher Blackwell detained for warrants out of Gwinnett Co.  Escorted to Gwinnett jail.
  • Entering Auto, Magnolia Terr., and complainant advised his vehicle was entered and a black 9mm handgun was taken.  No serial numbers available.
  • Entering Auto, Windsor Dr., and complainant had his black Dodge Magnum entered and his brown Baltimore Ravens wallet was taken with his ID and Debit card.  Vehicle was unlocked.
  • Threats report, Turner St., Subject was intoxicated, Requested extra patrol due to girlfriend trying to fight him. Girlfriend was not on location.  All ok.
  • Theft report, N. Broad St., complainant left her cell phone on top of her vehicle and was lost on N. Broad. A wallet and cell phone case with ID and other card’s.  Juvenile answered phone when called but then disconnected when told there was no reward.
  • Theft report, South Broad St., Southside MHP, complainant reports cell phone taken from front porch. Kristen Green admitted to taking phone saying she thought it was hers. Green arrested for theft by taking.
  • Officer Flag Down, South Madison, Quick Pick. Comp advised of someone laying on the ground on East Fambrough. Contact made with subject who advised he was waiting on someone to leave his house so there was no conflict, all ok.
  • Domestic problem, Magnolia Terr., male subject on location intoxicated, subject escorted to East Marable  St.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Mayfield Dr. ref to truck with flashing lights on. No one around vehicle, all appeared ok.
  • Damage to property, East Marable St., Ref to damage to a trash can. Advised to contact city to replace trash can.
  • Dispute, Barron Dr., complainant wanting to get her keys back from roommate. Several subjects used the vehicle. Keys returned, all ok.
  • Disturbing the peace, Green St., Ref to several subjects outside being loud. Area checked with negative contact
  • Suspicious vehicle on Breedlove Dr and Breedlove Ct., female juvenile cited for speeding under 21, male juvenile cited for poss. of less than 1oz. of marijuana.
  • Dispute, Gatewood Way, mother stated she was in a verbal argument with her daughter who had punched her in the ear. Daughter arrested for simple Batt FV. Scruggs also has a no violent contact order.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Burch St., complainant advised that a vehicle pulled up to his apt and yelled profanity and threaten to shoot him. Vehicle gone, Area checked with negative contact.
  • Domestic problem, Kelton Rd., complainant wanting her brother to leave, he was gone when officers arrived. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Theft on East Marable St. near Union St., complainant advised an unknown black male dressed in ALL black approached him as he was walking and took his $50.00. Complainant did not appear nervous or afraid and waited at the Hot Spot until officer arrived. Complainant stated he was out this early because he got a “booty call” and was walking from Green Street to Meadow Walk Subdivision. Complainant was not threatened nor did he see a weapon brandished.
