Looking back on the Top 10 Stories of 2016

As we close the books on 2016, it comes  to that time when we share the Top 10 stories read on Monroe Local News in 2016 and, yet again, I am pleased to be able to report that the most pages viewed were the home page and the archives. We appreciate so many people choosing to go to Monroe Local News each day to see what is being reported. Remember, you can subscribe to receive a free news blast in your email box every weekday morning by clicking on www.monroelocal.org and giving your email address in the box on the top corner. It arrives in your email box Monday to Friday, dry, no matter what the weather – and it doesn’t cost you a penny.

Usually top pages viewed are related to crime or tragedies, but I’m happy to report at least one with a more positive tone crept into the top sites viewed this year. I’m told this is not off the table yet, but at the moment there does not appear to be any movement either. Something to watch for in 2017.
