Monroe PD: Domestic disputes including assault with porcelain elephant; hair pulling

Monroe Police Department responded to the following police reports during the period Jan. 6 – 12, 2017. This report is split into four parts due to the length. This is the second post for this period. Please note and arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious Vehicle on Highway 78 near East Spring Street in reference to vehicle failing to maintain its lane. Contact made with vehicle and stopped. Driver checked out all ok.
  • Suspicious vehicle at N. Broad/Highway 78 – Ref to a vehicle that exited down the wrong ramp to Highway 78 W. Searched the area with no contact.
  • Suspicious person at Clearview – Subject was stranded at the hospital – given a courtesy ride back to Loganville.
  • Domestic, GW Carver– Complainant advised that a male is on location and will not leave. Made contact with male at Golden Pantry and advised him to not return for the evening.
  • Domestic on Maple St – both intoxicated, were arguing over a car when female smashed a porcelain elephant over male’s head. Vickie Browner was arrested for Battery FV.
  • Unknown, Towler St/Old Mill Pt – Possible domestic on Storehouse Ct. Female complainant advised that someone was trying to get her but would not give her location. Made contact on Storehouse Ct and everyone said that no one called the police. Made contact with male walking from Walton Mills but was unable to determine if he was involved. Female complainant would not cooperate with dispatch.
  • Stolen vehicle on Oak Ridge – female was incarcerated and had friends who live in the county pick up her vehicle. Female believes that her ex-boyfriend is driving the vehicle. Female’s vehicle is at her friend’s house in the county and not stolen.
  • Assault, Great Oaks – Med tech advised that one resident pushed another resident down. Made contact with supervisor who advised that the resident was fine and she was up making her bed. Supervisor advised that it was on the memory unit and all was fine.
  • Dispute, Hitachi – Supervisor was requesting an officer to escort a male subject off the property due to the male subject being terminated. Male subject had left the property prior to officer arrival.
  • Suspicious Person on Store House Court. Male in the area with an active warrant for his arrest dressed in jeans with a black jacket on. Area checked with negative contact.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on G.W. Carver Drive. Caller advised an older model blue Chevrolet truck was speeding in the area. Vehicle located on Carver Place, unoccupied.
  • Domestic at Old Mill Point. Complainant and her eighteen-year (18) old son involved in a verbal altercation. Son threatened to damage property in the house. Son packed his belongings and left the residence.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on East Spring Street. Caller advised a green Mazda passenger car was driving reckless. Area checked with negative contact.
  • 9-1-1 Hang up on North Broad Street in reference to Milton Jeff causing a disturbance. Milton Jeff located and arrested for Criminal Trespass.
  • Domestic on East Washington Street in dispute. Female left for the evening and male will be taking a bus to Knoxville Tennessee next date.
  • Suspicious Vehicle on Highway 138. Caller advised a tractor trailer was speeding and driving reckless. Trucked located and followed, all ok.
  • Domestic at Wheelhouse Lane. Dispute between male and female. Male reportedly grabbed female’s hair and threw her into the wall, causing damage to the wall. Victim advised of warrant process.
  • Suspicious Person at West Spring Street – Walmart. Robert Harrison going up to women asking for money. Subject arrested on Monroe FTA warrant (Publix Intox) and taken to Walton County jail.
  • Shoplifting @ Walmart – Juvenile, arrested for shoplifting. Turned over to his mother. Juvenile complaint filed and faxed.
  • Animal complaint, S. Madison Ave – Complainant said that a dog was chained outside. Spoke to the owner of the dog who said that the dog was outside eating and then the dog comes back inside the residence. Dog appeared to be fine.
  • Trespassing, N. Broad St – Three juveniles on the property fishing. Advised the juveniles to not return and released.
  • Traffic violation, E. Church St/Baron Dr – Vehicle was stopped for no tag light. Brooks Pyy was arrested for warrants from the US Marshalls ATF out of South Dakota for possession of body armor by a convicted felon. Warning for no tag light.
  • Suspicious person, Wheelhouse Ln – Complainant advised that she saw a male subject wearing a blue hoodie trying to break into an unknown apartment. Searched the area with no contact.
  • Traffic violation, N. Broad St/Oak St – Vehicle was stopped for running a stop sign. Warning given to driver for stop sign violation. Passenger, Jonathan Gresham, was arrested for Walton County Child Neglect Warrant.
  • Dispute, New Lacy St – complainant advised that a male subject threatened to kill the whole family and then he busted out the back window. No one else besides complainant heard the threats. Male was gone when police arrived. Warrant taken for Criminal Trespass.
  • Dispute, Fuzion’s – Ref to a dispute inside the building that is gang related. Two male subjects were asked to leave the property.
  • Domestic on Lacy Street. Male subject and female involved in a physical altercation. Warrants to be taken on male subject for Battery – Family Violence and Cruelty to Children 3rd Degree.
  • Suspicious Vehicle at Windsor Drive. The caller advised a blue Yamaha Motorcycle was in the middle of the roadway, unattended. The motorcycle was stolen out of MPD and towed by Wrecker Service and later released to the owner. Also taken off GCIC
  • Traffic Stop on North Broad Street and Walton Street. Bryant Ware arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and no valid insurance coverage while heading to church. Subject has a long history of driving with suspended license. Vehicle impounded by Wrecker Service.
  • Suspicious Vehicle Highway 138 – Great Oaks. Caller advised a silver passenger car with an unknown Florida tag was in the area checking vehicles to see if they were unlocked. Vehicle gone upon officer’s arrival.
  • Shoplifting at West Spring Street. Loss Prevention Officer advised an unknown black male possibly stole items from the store, but wasn’t sure.
  • Shoplifting at West Spring Street. Loss Prevention Officer advised incident occurred on 01/05/2017 where an unknown black male attempted to steal $609.30 from Walmart but recovered it at the front door.
  • Damage to Property at Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd – Anytime Fitness. Complainant advised someone busted out her car window, but did not gain entry. It is unknown if she has any enemies
  • Civil Matter, at Maple Street in reference to subject wanting to get belongings from residence.
