Bob Adams Hale, 91, of Monroe, GA, died Saturday, January 21, 2017. He was born in Walton County, GA on December 20, 1925, to the late Euphratus Lee Hale and the late Pearl Mitchell Hale. He was preceded in death by his brother, the late Euphratus Lee Hale, Jr.
Mr. Hale was a veteran, proudly serving in the United States Army during World War II. He was retired from the Independent Life Insurance Company where he worked for 34 years. He was a member of Walker Baptist Church and grew up going to Center Hill Baptist church. Mr. Hale was very active in community service. He was a past member of the Walton County Hospital Board and the Walton Electric Trust Board. He also volunteered at F.I.S.H. (Faith In Serving Humanity) for many years. Mr. Hale is survived by his wife, Betty Moon Hale; daughter, Susan Winter of Monroe; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Sheryl Hale of Monroe; sisters, Joann Toney of Winder and Dean Impeciato of Braselton; brothers, Charles and Jean Hale of McDonough and Gerald and Pat Hale of Monroe. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; Beth Franks and her husband Adam, Adam Winter and his wife Candace, Laura Murphy and her husband Patrick, Allison LaRue and her husband Michael; 5 great grandchildren, Julia and Kaylee Winter, Connor and Nolan Murphy, and Mallory LaRue. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
A visitation was held on Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Meadows Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Center Hill Baptist Church in Gratis. Interment followed at Center Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
