Church News and events: First Presbyterian Church of Monroe

contributed by FPC of Monroe

This Sunday (2/5) gets underway at 9:15a with the Breakfast Table.  Sunday School, for all ages, follows at 9:45a.  At our traditional 11a worship service Pastor Rogers’ sermon (“Come, and You Will See”) is based on John 1.29-34.  Afterwards we’ll celebrate the Sacrament of Communion; all who acknowledge Jesus as Savior and Lord are invited to join us.  And at the conclusion of worship, at our Service of Wholeness, our elders will anoint with oil and pray for those who so request.

Consider joining our Zumba class on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6p in our Fellowship Hall.  Come to our Pastor’s Bible Study on Tuesdays at 10a; our current focus is the book of Acts.  Men are invited to our Man’s Cave on Thursdays at 10a; we munch, drink coffee or tea, and discuss a range of topics.

At 10a on Monday (2/6) our New Day Ladies’ Circle will meet at the church.  At 6:30p on Thursday (2/9) our Viticulture (wine interest) group will meet for fellowship in a member’s home. On Mon (2/13) at 7p our Irene Nowell Circle meets at a member’s home.  And at 10:30a on Sat (2/18) our Powder & Brass (firearms interest) group will meet first at the range (with lunch afterwards at Los Tres Amigos).

FPC is proud to sponsor Boy Scout Troop #705 and Cub Scout Pack #705.

We’re a friendly bunch deeply in love with Jesus, and we’d love to have you join us for our activities. We’re located at the corner of Breedlove and McDaniel. Visit us. Scout us out beforehand at:  Questions?  Phone the church office at 770.267.3404.
