Watkinsville Police Department report that three teens from Monroe have been arrested and charged with armed robbery, and another arrest is possible.

According to Watkinsville Police Chief Lee O’Dillon, Robert Cole Fitzpatrick, 17, of Monroe was taken into custody on Friday and charged with armed robbery, “in connection with the Jan. 21 incidence where a VFW Drive resident was robbed at gunpoint of $100 while in his own back yard.”

L’Dillon said Dashun Jerode Smith, 18, and Demartray Anton Eberhart, 17, both also of Monroe, were arrested Monday.

“Both were booked into the Oconee County Jail awaiting a bond hearing,” O’Dillon said. “Robert Cole Fitzpatrick was charged with Armed Robbery on Friday in connection with the same incident. The victim knew one of the men who robbed him and advised police of his identity that night. The case is being turned over to Oconee Superior Court.”

Police say the three teens allegedly pointed a gun at the victim and stole $100 before running to a waiting car and speeding off.
